Sport is Scotland's greatest social movement; it encompasses some 900,000 regular participants, one fifth of the Scottish population, and inspires a nation enthralled by sport.
The Scottish Sports Alliance believes it is time that the Scottish Government, Parliament and politicians recognise the powerful force sport can play in improving health, inspiring education and increasing community cohesion.
Sport is Scotland's missing link, impacting on all major policy areas through improving the nation's health, supporting and improving educational attainment, providing social cohesion and ultimately contributing to a stable and sustainable economy. No other social activity provides Scotland with so much.
The voters of Scotland want to know if you will promote sport for the betterment of Scotland and sign up to the Pledge.
I'd like to sign the VoteforSport Pledge organised by the Scottish Sports Alliance;
"I pledge to recognise the unique role, value and potential of sport in Scottish society and upon my election to the Scottish Parliament I will act as a Scottish Sporting Champion throughout my term in Parliament."
